A mother is
the female parent of a child. Mothers are women who inhabit or perform the role
of bearing some relation to their children who may or may not be their
biological offspring. Thus dependent on the context women can be considered
mothers by virtue of having given birth by raising their child ren supplying
their ovum for fertilisation or some combination thereof. Such conditions
provide a way of delineating the concept of motherhood or the state of being a
mother. I believe in love at first sight because I’ve loved my mother since I
opened my eyes. Women who meet the third and first categories usually fall
under the terms birth mother or biological mother regardless of whether the
individual in question goes on to parent their child. Accordingly a woman who
meets only the second condition may be considered an adoptive mother and those
who meet only the third a surrogacy mother. Mother's Day in 2017 will be
celebrated on Sunday May 14. It is always the second Sunday of May in the United States.
In Islam there is no concept of Mother's Day but mothers hold a very high
position in religious matters. According to some Islamic traditions Heaven is
said to be found under a mother's feet meaning that one can attain admission
into heaven after death if they are caring and loving sons to their mothers.
Pakistanis celebrated
Mother’s Day on Sunday to express their love affection for their mothers. The
day is dedicated to motherhood on May 2 every year. It is a time to appreciate
mothers and motherly figures conveying gratitude for the hardships born in
child rearing. The day was marked by high spirits and enthusiasm as various
public and private organizations and schools arranged entertaining programmes
for Mother’s Day celebrations. A day without laughter is a day wasted. Mother’s
Day has been celebrated in Pakistan
and the sub continent at large for the past few years with tremendous zest.
People send flowers and present Mother’s Day cakes’ cards’ mugs’ sweets’
clothes and other gifts to their mothers on this day. Mother’s Day is an
International holiday to give tribute and honoring the spirit of motherhood is
now celebrated in around 40 countries of the world. The American event of
Mother’s Day was thought by Anna Jarvis in 1908 and because of her attempts it
became an official American holiday in 1914. Anna Jarvis had originally
conceived of Mom’s Day as a day of personal celebration between mothers and
families. Of all the gifts that life has to offer a loving mother is the
greatest of them all. Her version of the day involved wearing a white carnation
as a badge and visiting one’s mother or attending church services. But once
Mummy Day became a national holiday it was not long before florist’s card
companies and other merchants capitalized on its popularity. While dates and
celebrations vary Mother’s Day most commonly falls on the second Sunday in May.
A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one
else can take.
