Imran khan



Imran khan born 5 October 1952 in Lahore and educated at Aitchison’ Worcester and later at the Keble College’ oxford. Khan the only son of Ikramullah khan niazi a civil engineer and his wife shaukat khanum.Khan has 4 sisters namely Rubina khanum Aleema khanum Uzma khanum and rani khanum. Long settled in Mianwali in northwestern Punjab his paternal family are of Pashto ethnicity and belong to the niazi tribe. Khan started cricket at the age of 13.initially playing for his college and later for the Worcestershire cricket club he made his debut for Pakistan at the age of 18 during the 1971 English series at Birmingham. After graduating from oxford. Khan joined Pakistan’s national cricket team in 1976 and played until 1992. Khan also served as the team’s captain intermittently throughout 1982-1992.
He Notably led Pakistan to victory at the 1992 cricket world cup Pakistan’s first and only victory in that competition. Khan as of Pakistan’s most successful player. On 16 May 1995 khan married Jemima Goldsmith in a traditional Pakistani wedding ceremony in Paris. From1995 to 2004 Khan was married to Jemima khan a British writer and activist and member of the influential goldsmith family of England. They have two sons from the marriage Suleiman Isa khan born 18 November 1996 and Qasim khan born 10 April 1999.following their divorce Jamima returned to England with their sons. The marriage ended amicably in divorce in 2004. In early 2015 khan announced his marriage to the British Pakistan journalist and television anchor Reham Khan.
The marriage was conducted via a simple nikah ceremony at Khan’s residence in Bani Gala. The marriage last year ended in divorce on 30 October 2015.  Khan is a Pakistani politician’ former Cricketer’ philanthropist’ cricket commentator and the former chancellor of the university of Bradford. Khan played international cricket for two decades in the late twentieth century and after retiring entered polotics.In 1996 khan founded a political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Khan’s mother Shaukat khanum was a housewife.
He credits his mother as having played a deeply influential role in his upbringing. in 1985 she died due to cancer. The personal experience of seeing his mother diagnosed which became the cause of her death motivated khan to build a cancer hospital in Pakistan where those who could not afford expensive care could  be treated in 1994 the shaukat khanum memorial cancer  hospital and research centre  was founded by khan in Lahore and named in memory of his mother .a second shaukat khanum cancer hospital is under construction in Peshawar while plans are underway for a third hospital to be located in Karachi
