eyes

Beauty is in the eye of the credit card holder. Our eyes allow us to appreciate the beauty of the world experience the joy of learning new activities and undertake new adventures. The entire staff of Couture Vision wants to share this educational video on the anatomy of your eyes in hopes that it will provide our patients with a better understanding or the importance of having routine eye exams. We have created this introduction to the eye because we believe knowing the anatomy of your eyes and having regular examinations is the best way to keep your eyes healthy and your vision intact. The eye is one of the most remarkable achievements of evolution. In humans vision is the most important sense and much of the brain is given over to the processing of visual information. It explores the evolution of colour vision in primates and the workings of the human eye. It explains how we see in three dimensions and the basic principles of visual perception including our impressive capacity for pattern recognition and the ability of vision to guide action. The human eye is an organ which reacts to light for several purposes. The eye sees all but the mind show us what we want to see. As a conscious sense organ the mammalian Eye allows vision. Rod and cone cells in theretina allow conscious light perception and vision including color differentiation and the perception of depth. The human eye can distinguish about 10 million colors. The human eye is an organ which reacts to light and pressure. As a sense organ the mammalian eye allows vision. Human eyes help provide a three dimensional moving image’ normally coloured in daylight. Your eyes show the strength of your soul. Rod and cone cells in the retina allow conscious light perception and vision including color differentiation and the perception of depth. The human eye can differentiate between about 10 million colors and is possibly capable of detecting a single photon the colored part of the eye is called the iris. The iris has pigmentation that determines the eye color. Irises are classified as being one of six colors amber’ blue’ brown’ gray’ green’ hazel’ or red. Often confused with hazel eyes amber eyes tend to be a solid golden or copper color without flecks of blue or green typical of hazel eyes. Your eyes speak the truth when every thing else is a lie. The eye has many parts that must work together to produce clear vision.  The scleroses or white part of the eye protects the eyeball. The pupil or black dot at the centre of the eye is a hole through which light can enter the eye. The iris or colored part of the eye surrounds the pupil. It controls how much light enters the eye by changing the size of the pupil. The cornea a clear window at the front of the eye covers the iris and the pupil. A clear lens located behind the pupil acts like a camera lens by focusing light onto the retina at the back of the eye. The retina is a light sensitive inner lining at the back of the eye. Ten different layers of cells work together in the retina to detect light and turn it into electrical impulses. Because your eyes said you were feeling it too.
