Goat eighth sign

The Goat is the eighth sign of the 12 year cycle of animals that appear in the Chinese zodiac related to the Chinese calendar. The sign is also referred to as the Ram or Sheep sign since the Chinese word yang is more accurately translated as Caprinae a taxonomic subfamily that includes both sheep and goats. This kind of ram comes from the male sheep and his powerful horns and so does the verb ram. I watched the rams ram their heads into each other as they battled over territory. Some word experts think the word stems from the Old Norse rammer strong. Sheep and Goat are two different species. Often sheep have wool whereas goats have hair but there are hair sheep without wool as well. In that case you can look at the tail sheep's tails hang down whereas goat’s tails point upwards. The Chinese commonly regard sheep as an auspicious animal and the year of the sheep therefore heralds a year of promise and prosperity. Rams are male bighorn sheep animals that live in the mountains and often settle arguments with fights that include ramming their heads into others. Goat’s rams can be identified by their long curved horns long fur and split hooves. Ram is the intact male of sheep Ovis Aries. In other words ram is capable of breeding with the females to produce fertile offspring. Therefore rams are essential to maintain the sheep population as they contribute themselves as breeders. Rams being males are sexually different from others having the most important male reproductive organs with them. There are castrated males in most of the domestic sheep flocks the consideration of rams is important as per their breeding potential. Their breeding capacity could vary among them but usually in one breeding season 70 days one ram could successfully breed with 40-45 ewes. The high testosterone secretion the aggression is higher in rams compared to ewes wethers and lamb. The horned sheep breeds have long and well developed horns which are curved over the back of their heads. They also have the scent glands and tear glands as in all the sheep. Rams can grow as large as 460k sometimes. A ram can usually live about 11-12 years but the lifespan could vary depending on their performance productivity and disease prevalence. The meat of a juvenile sheep older than one year is hogget outside North America this is also a term for the living animal. The meat of an adult sheep is mutton a term only used for the meat not the living animals. An adult female sheep is referred to as a ewe an intact male as a ram or occasionally a tup a castrated male as a wether and a younger sheep as a lamb. Sheep are most likely descended from the wild mouflon of Europe and Asia.
