Dream

The definition of a dream is an image thought or fantasy that happens in the mind while a person is sleeping or relaxing. Dreams are one of the most fascinating and mysterious parts of the human experience. A dream is a succession of images’ ideas’ emotions and sensations that usually occur involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep. The content and purpose of dreams are not fully understood though they have been a topic of scientific speculation as well as a subject of philosophical and religious interest throughout recorded history. Dream interpretation is the attempt at drawing meaning from dreams and searching for an underlying message. The scientific study of dreams is called neurology. Some people remember vivid dreams some swear they cannot remember dreaming at all. Some dream in black and white most people dream in color. One thing is for sure, everyone dreams. From the time we are babies until the day we die our minds constantly produce dreams while our bodies and brains are at rest. Dreaming is a symbolic language designed to communicate your inner wisdom to you while you are asleep. The part of your subconscious that processes dreams your dream self sends messages as symbols and images which in turn conveys ideas or situations in a visual language. Sometimes dreams make a lot of sense like when we’ve been working hard and we end up dreaming alas that we’re still at work. Other times the meaning of dreams is less clear. That doesn’t mean the dream isn’t important to our well being however. A good night’s sleep is far more nuanced than simply putting in your seven to nine hours and calling it a day. Good healthy sleep means feeling rested upon waking. It means not having chronic bad dreams or nightmares. And it turns out that the difference between a smile filled slumber and a fearful one isn’t entirely up to chance. Dreams come in an endless variety of styles and types. There are people that find themselves in wild fantasy landscapes with mind blowing narratives but there are also those who find themselves never being able to escape their office due to reoccurring dreams surrounding their workplace. Dreams can cover the entirety of someone’s imagination leaving them scared in a nightmare or happy after being visited by a deceased relative. Everyone dreams differently but there are a few specific types of sleep experiences that dreams can fall into. Some dream types have very specific functions, and it can be beneficial for you to know if your dream falls into these categories. Additionally, there are phenomenon’s that show up through dreams that you might not even realize exist.
