Burma Trip

Burma is a country in Southeast Asia near in India Bangladesh Thailand and China. There are different religions are living in Burma or Myanmar Country. Different Parties are killing Muslims in Burma. The innocent Muslims are unable to defend them. Whole communities of Media are silent on this issue. More than 300 mosques are closed in Burma. There is no freedom of religion in Burma. Muslims are not allowed to read or listen the holy Quran. In Burma incident more than 15 Thousand Innocent Muslims are killed. The governments of different Muslim Countries are silent on this issue. Even Saudi Arabia is Silent United Nations is silent and All Muslim Community is silent. This is not fear for Burma Muslims. They are facing very bad Situation. Even OIC is not saying anything about this issue. More than Ninety Thousand Muslims are transferred from Burma due to not safety in Burma Country. Myanmar officially the Republic of the Union of Myanmar also known as Burma and as Myanmar Burma is a sovereign state in the region of Southeast Asia. Myanmar is bordered by India and Bangladesh to its west Thailand and Laos to its east and China to its north and northeast. To its south about one third of Myanmar's total perimeter of 6,876 km 4,651 miles forms an uninterrupted coastline of 2,930 km 1,300 mi along the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea. The country's 2014 census counted the population to be 53 million people. Myanmar is 776,578 square kilometers 271,227 sq mi in size. Its capital city is Naypyidaw and its largest city and former capital city is Yangon Rangoon. Myanmar is a country rich in jade and gems’ oil natural gas and other mineral resources. In 1989, the military government officially changed the English translations of many names dating back to Burma's colonial period or earlier including that of the country itself: Burma became Myanmar. The renaming remains a contested issue. Many political and ethnic opposition groups and countries continue to use Burma because they do not recognise the legitimacy of the ruling military government or its authority to rename the country. Burma continues to be used in English by the governments of many countries such as Canada and the United Kingdom. Official United States policy retains Burma as the country's name although the State Department's website lists the country as Burma Myanmar and Barack Obama has referred to the country by both names. On 4 January 1948 the nation became an independent republic named the Union of Burma with Sao Shwe Thaik as its first President and U Nu as its first Prime Minister. Civil wars have been a constant feature of Myanmar's socio-political landscape since the attainment of independence in 1948. These wars are predominantly struggles for ethnic and sub national autonomy with the areas surrounding the ethnically Bamar central districts of the country serving as the primary geographical setting of conflict. Foreign journalists and visitors require a special travel permit to visit the areas in which Myanmar's civil wars continue. Since the 2010 election the government has embarked on a series of reforms to direct the country towards liberal democracy a mixed economy and reconciliation although doubts persist about the motives that underpin such reforms. The series of reforms includes the release of pro democracy leader Aung San Sue Kyi from house arrest the establishment of the National Human Rights Commission the granting of general amnesties for more than 200 political prisoners new labour laws that permit labour unions and strikes a relaxation of press censorship and the regulation of currency practices. The Rohingya people have consistently faced human rights abuses by the Burmese regime that has refused to acknowledge them as Burmese citizens despite some of them having lived in Burma for over three generations the Rohingya have been denied Burmese citizenship since the enactment of a 1982 citizenship law. Naturalized citizenship is only given to those who have at least one parent with one of these types of Burmese citizenship or can provide conclusive evidence that their parents entered and resided in Burma prior to independence in 1948. The Burmese regime has attempted to forcibly expel Rohingya and bring in non Rohingya to replace them this policy has resulted in the expulsion of approximately half of the 800,000 Rohingya from Burma while the Rohingya people have been described as among the world's least wanted and one of the world's most persecuted minorities. But the origin of 'most persecuted minority' statement is unclear. State Counsellor Aung San Sue Kyi said the death toll from the violence that started Thursday night had reached 96 mostly alleged Rohingya attackers but also 12 security personnel. The announcement was the first by the government to list civilians among the dead 6 people identified as Hindu said to have been killed by the insurgents. The government refuses to recognize Rohingya as a legitimate native ethnic minority calling them Bengalis to reflect the position that they are mostly illegal immigrants from neighboring Bangladesh. Most Rohingya are denied citizenship and its rights. Malaysia is a multicultural and multiconfessional country whose official religion is Islam. The Rohingya have long faced severe discrimination and were the targets of violence in 2012 that killed hundreds and drove about 140,000 people predominantly Rohingya from their homes to camps for the internally displaced where most remain. The Rohingya language is part of the Indo Aryan sub branch of the greater Indo European language family and is related to the Chittagonian language spoken in the southernmost part of Bangladesh bordering Myanmar. While both Rohingya and Chittagonian are related to Bengali they are not mutually intelligible with the latter. Rohingya do not speak Burmese the lingua franca of Myanmar and face problems in integration. Rohingya scholars have successfully written the Rohingya language in various scripts including the Arabic Hanifi Urdu Roman and Burmese alphabets where Hanifi is a newly developed alphabet derived from Arabic with the addition of four characters from Latin and Burmese. The Rohingya people practice Sunni Islam along with elements of Sufism. The government restricts their educational opportunities many pursue fundamental Islamic studies as their only option. Mosques and madrasas are present in most villages. Traditionally men pray in congregations and women pray at home. The Rohingya face discrimination and barriers to health care. According to a 2016 study published in the medical journal The Lancet Rohingya children in Myanmar face low birth weight, malnutrition diarrhea and barriers to reproduction on reaching adulthood. Rohingya have a child mortality rate of up to 324 deaths per 1000 live births more than 4 times the rate for the rest of Myanmar and 3 times rate of rest non-Rohingya areas of Rakhine state. The paper also found that 50% of Rohingya children suffer from diarrhea in internally displaced persons camp within Myanmar at a rate five times that of diarrheal illness among children in the rest of Rakhine. Hundreds have died in clashes between Burmese authorities and Rohingya insurgents sending thousands of Rohingya Muslims fleeing across the border to Bangladesh.
