Hooters Breaded Wings Recipe



Hooters hot wings make a different kind of hot wing than you normally find.  Hooters hot wings are battered.  Most hot wing recipes simply fry the wings. But by adding this crispy batter to the Hooters hot wings the outside of the wing gives you more flavor and more crunchy bits Combine flour salt cayenne pepper and paprika in bowl. In a saucepan, heat butter hot sauce pepper and garlic powder just until butter melts, then keep warm. Deep fry chicken 9 pieces at a time in 475 degree oil for 12 minutes. Pour half the hot sauce mixture over chicken first 11 pieces. Make these famous hot wings at home. Ingredients.4 pounds chicken wings cut into drumettes and flappers.3cups whole wheat flour.1 cup all purpose flour.2 teaspoons salt.2 teaspoon paprika.2 teaspoon cayenne pepper. Preparation. In a large mixing bowl mix flours salt paprika and cayenne pepper together, and blend well. Cut chicken wings into drumettes and flappers. Wash and drain chicken. Coat chicken in flour mixture refrigerates chicken wings for 90 minutes. When ready to deep fry chicken wings, heat oil to 375 degrees. Place chicken pieces in hot oil but do not crowd. Fry chicken wings until golden brown. Remove from oil and drain. When all wings have been fried, place in a large bowl. Add Hot Sauce mixture and mix completely. Use a fork or tongs to place chicken pieces on a serving platter. Serve immediately and with lots of paper towels. Ingredients. Flour/seasoning mixture.1 cup all-purpose flour.1 tsp. salt.2 tsp paprika.2 tsp garlic powder.2 tsp cayenne pepper.3 tsp black pepper. Preparation. I combine an egg and some milk for a wash. Dip the chicken in the wash and then in the flour seasoning mixture. Then deep fry at 360 until it looks delicious 15-20 minutes. For best results refrigerate the chicken in the mixture for a few hours. It's so good my mouth is watering now. Ingredients. All-Purpose Flour.3 tsp Salt.2tsp Cayenne Pepper.2 tsp Paprika.3 Bag Frozen Chicken Wing Segments defrosted approximately 40 wing segments.3 Sticks Butter salted.3 Louisiana Hot Pepper Sauce.2tsp Black Pepper.3 tsp Garlic Powder.2 tsp Kosher Salt. Canola Oil for frying. Combine the flour salt pepper and paprika in a bowl. Rinse the chicken pat dry then coat the chicken in the flour mixture. Refrigerate wings for 1 hour then coat the wings with the remaining flour mixture. Heat butter hot sauce pepper garlic powder and salt in a medium saucepan until the butter melts; then let simmer on low to keep warm. Deep fry chicken in 375 degree oil for 12-15 minutes. You may have to do this in batches to avoid overcrowding. Immediately toss fried chicken in the butter mixture and remove with a slotted spoon.
